WOMEN REDRESSED THEATRE FESTIVAL

Arts Theatre West End, 2015

Sheer Height Productions

Our women's theatre festival, Women Redressed, kicked off in November 2015 at the Arts Theatre West End, with two evenings of stellar line-ups.  From a 15 year old wannabe porn star to a pro-choice Catholic nun, an incarcerated Suffragette to a disgraced female soldier, the aptly named Women Redressed presented theatre where female characters took centre stage.  Performed across two evenings the festival showcased new writing from the UK’s up and coming playwrights, as well as including excerpts from published plays such as the iconic 'Her Naked Skin' by Rebecca Lenkiewicz and Lucy Kirkwood’s astonishing play, 'it felt empty when the heart went at first but it’s alright now'.
